Favorite Songs

Danny and I love music, so it's only natural that our children love music too.  Margaux and Jax love the traditional kid songs, Disney Jake and the Pirates Soundtrack, and Johnette Downings "The Gumbo Pot".  However, I have also introduced them to Top 40 and Booty Shaking music and they LOVE it.  We jam out in the car.  They both dance and sing along.  Here is a quick list of favorites:

 - Danny and I always sang that to Margaux, when she would whine about something she couldn't have.  One day, we were driving to Baton Rouge and Jax was pitching a fit about something, and Margaux started singing the chorus to him.  Priceless!

• My Girl - Temptations

 - One night when Jax was an infant and I was sleeping at my parents, we watched the Temptations movie on VH1.  At the end, they were sing "My Girl", but instead of singing "my girl", we all sang "Margaux".  It stuck, now it's her song.  She can't believe they know her and sing her name.  She asks "how do they know me?".  Jax even sings it.
